Four wins in a row for Bolton!

The start of the day saw the Bolton side in good spirits as they took to the field in the warm up.
Pitch looking good, the Bolton players were looking for a fourth win in a row against local rivals Leigh.
The kick off saw the ball kicked into the air and the game began. An early turnover meant the Leigh kicker gave his team an early 3-0 lead. A well worked defensive lineout sees new signing Chris Hall steal the ball back. As the game continued, neither team could take control. A good show of skill saw the Leigh side score a try, which was converted by the Leigh number 4, taking the score to 10-0.
A good defensive display ensured that Bolton were awarded a penalty not far from the half-way line. Ross Hayden, confident in his kicking, points to the sticks. The ball was won back well by Bolton from the kick off. Josh Holmes makes 30 metres from an amazing run, darting in and out of the defenders. A penalty awarded to Bolton, Ross Hayden again punted the ball over the posts.
Leigh still held the lead. Morgan Smith was sent to the sin bin for 10 minutes, giving the Leigh side motivation. A good display of skill from Luke McMahon sees the ball kicked across the field for Ross Hayden to gather and place the ball over the line, bringing an end to the half with Bolton leading 16-11.
Good training and commitment from the Bolton forwards meant a strong defensive lineout, led by Chris Hall, saw the ball once again back in the hands of Bolton. Bolton, now controlling the game well. Leigh’s poor discipline saw another kick from the tea by Ross Hayden. Bolton had now grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and a fantastically worked try saw the ball chipped over the defensive line and dotted down by Josh Bentley Hughes bringing the score to 21-16. Not long after, Josh Holmes sells an unbelievable dummy earning him a try and Ross Hayden convincingly converts bringing the score to 28-19. Sloppy play from Leigh saw them concede a penalty try in the dying minutes of the game. The final score sees Bolton winning the game convincingly at 35-19.
This win means that Bolton's streak continues. 4 wins in a row for the cherry and whites.
