The Amazons headed over to Eccles on Sunday for the 2nd round of the Northern Girls Network Cup.
Bolton collaborated with the NW Roses which is made up of players from Fylde, Preston and Burnley. Their first match was versus old foes Littleborough who are a strong, well drilled team. Littleborough proved too strong in the opening game and won the game 0 v 22.
The combined teams then played a combined Rochdale and Oldham team and were worthy winners 19 - 7. Iona scored twice with Eilidh getting the third. Iona converted two of the tries.
The third and last game was against a combined girls team from Winnington Park, Ellesmere Port, Helsby and Caldy. Bolton and the NW Roses proved too strong and won this game 24 - 7 with Aisha bagging 3 tries and Iona getting the fourth. Iona converted two of the tries. Aisha received the player of the matches award.
