We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been invited by England Rugby to play two short curtain raiser games before England take on Italy on February 12th in the Six Nations.
Through our fantastic work via the RFU initiative Rugby United - which has been established to help introduce the game of rugby to a younger, wider and more diverse audience within the local community, we have been invited to take 12 members of the club between the ages of 11-15 years of age which demonstrates our inclusivity.
Our opposition on the day will be Hackney RFC who are also a progressive club who provide an inclusive environment to all who wish to play the sport.
Speaking of the invitation Chair Mark Brocklehurst commented “This is a milestone event for us here at Bolton Rugby Club. We have been working hard behind the scenes with our local community to introduce rugby to local schools and the wider Bolton community. To be invited to play at Twickenham acknowledging our commitment to the Rugby United initiative is an absolute privilege and we are delighted to accept their invitation.”
